The first two dialogues in a series, which will be edited in postproduction to become core material for the submenus on our webpage. We present them here in full length for those of you that can’t wait and as a demonstration of why we need you to help us spread this knowledge.
Allan Alfred is a masters student, studying Philosophy at Copenhagen University, who is very much aware of the changes taking place within society due to this new era of information availability that we live in.
For his masters thesis, he decided to do a inter-disciplinary paper in collaboration with some students from the film and media faculty titled “The struggle for a knowledge based society- with focus on the role of philosophy” (Kampen om videnssamfundet – med focus på filosofiens rolle).
As the faculty promotes the use of both traditional (the written paper), and new media formats for thesis’s, Allan made a website, facebook page, mini-documentary and a series of dialogues, as well as a powerpoint production. He also did the traditional 30-40 page paper.
Allan approached a number of philosophers, politicians and business leaders, to make seven short films about their views in regard to social values such as courage, wisdom, freedom, responsibility and happiness. These were disseminated via new media sites, and on his site www.videnssamfundet.com
When Allan handed in his thesis, it was rejected and failed. He appealed the ruling, and got a 12 (the highest grade possible in Denmark)
We believe this example is crucial in understanding the challenges that we are going to have moving into this new era. It is not easy understanding a reality outside of the cave, in this case, maybe even more appropriately, in the cave, when we barely have any experience or language for it. What Allan has done is try to look back in order to move forward, thus getting a piggy-back ride from Socrates in order to overtake people like Kevin Kelly and Ray Kurzweil.
While it may not seem as grandiose and inspiring talking about the future from the viewpoint of the past, it seems to us that Allans focus is on rediscovering core virtues that have been lost or buried in the mists of time.
As the city states have grown wealthier, the access to the central island i.e. the academy has become more necessary. Allans method of open door access and inclusivity will ensure more have the opportunity to access the academy. This is an ideal we at Soul United strongly believe in, as better and easier access for all will hasten the arrival of the much needed new technologies and communication methods.
12. september, 2011, blev der i silende regn afholdt et frivilligt symposion i direkte demokrati foran den lukkede port til Christiansborg. De fremmødte få følte sig tilsyneladende kaldet af noget større end dem selv til at tale repræsentativt på hele menneskefolkets vegne, for sidste gang inden bisættelsen af det repræsentative demokrati. It is also a callout to anyone interested in spreading the word, chipping in or becoming part of this open source experiment. We need each other. We have initiated collaboration with several individuals deeply involved in community management, paradigm shifts and alternative media. Claus Skytte, Miles Hingston (youtube channel), Chris Moore, Troels Ketel Nørballe, Francoiscamera (youtube channel), Christian Kock and Asta Wellejus? are among our most future ready collaborators. We have also agreed on a ‘partnership of intention’ with Scandinavian Media Association.

We arranged for the documentation of the IRL absurd theatre play ‘Winwin’ with 770 degrees Celsius and in the process of editing the material for promotion of their future plays. We attended Niels Harrits lecture at Valby Kulturhus and networked. We have appeared twice on America Freedom Radio’s ‘The Vinny Eastwood Show‘ and have invested social capital and presence in the crowdsourced Compass Bar.
Learning by Just Doing It
On the front of education paradigm shifts Jakob has become editor of ArkenTV and their virtual presence. We look forward to demonstrating true future ready academia. Teased and uncut. We have also consulted the startup vocation agency Vocare on their communication strategies. We are working to secure office space at KPH Projects.

We have had great success, both locally and internationally, in finding interesting citizens to engage in dialogue. We interview people all over the world in many fields, who are working on projects involving changing paradigms within the tensionfield between technology and philosophy. We would like to present all the works in a full documentary storyboard format, like we did our dialogues with Thomas Sheridan. But we have had to develop this minimal format in order to have time to engage more people.
Projects Practically Planned
Right now we are putting together in realtime a symposion on the upcoming Danish National Elections. After that, we will direct our focus towards presenting the tools and methods we are developing by combining existing open source software. We need to produce open source introduction videos to the following concepts: Conference Caller, Versus Player, Gauntlet player, Lovedrop, Bluebook and Livedrop. We sample research from diverse fields to projects current internet trends into the future and describe the types of community communication software and habits that will become increasingly popular.
The HUM
Low-tech, peer2peer production and exchange of material is becoming ever more prevalent. Our method is to describe how these types of future products and services can be approximated using open source technologies of today and then encourage key companies, communities and individuals, using qualitative marketing to invest time and resources into their further development. Direct, two-way, authentic communication; open source projects; local, crowdsourced innovation and evolutionary empowerment are the ways of getting future ready.
In a few hours we will be at Iværksættermessen in Forum. After that we will gather intelligence from the streets by attending Folkenihilistisk Vælgermøde. Kenneth Bock stiller friskt op til en dialog om hans initiativ til at begynde at samle trådene til seriøst at få sat demokratiopgradering på dagsordenen. Direkte Demokrati NU er slået meget stort op og vi hylder ambitionen om at samle 20.000 danskere om et dette emne på 10 dage. Det er sket før i Danmarkshistorien – ved de virkelig historiske valg. I dag fik jeg mulighed for at gå i dialog med Tom Gillesberg fra Schiller Institutets Venner. Tom stiller op uden parti til valget d. 15 september og får i løbet af denne dialog brændt igennem med sine budskaber. Vi berører en række relevante emner i forbindelse med valget og Tom går i detaljer med, hvorfor dette er en historisk tid vi lever i og det ansvar det fordrer af os.
